Midnight Line: Ayam Cemani pen

Pure Ayam Cemani and some fun fibro mixes. 
 
Ayam are jet black inside and out, they are one of the world's most striking breeds. Intelligent and rare, these birds are bred for their signature fibromelanistic traits that make the breed both magical and legendary. Their feathers, skin, meat and bones are black. They do not lay black eggs as some online sources have falsely suggested, they lay shades of cream and tan. 
 
Our fibro mixes from this pen are some of our most unique specialty crosses. Built around Ayam Cemani genetics, these birds may inherit dark skin, black or grey combs, dark legs, and dramatic plumage in lots of different variety, depending on how many copies of the fibro gene they inherit from the purebred Ayam Cemani rooster heading this pen. 
Our current Fibro mixes are:
Crypt Keepers (Ayam x Easter Eggers: may lay shades of tan, blue or green)
Fibrorudd's (Ayam x Silverudd's Blue: because all our Silverudd's are confirmed to carry two copies of the blue egg gene, offspring will lay a shade of green). 
FibroDeathlayers (Ayam x Golden Deathlayers: striking plumage and lay much more light tan eggs per year than the rest in this group, deathlayers are known to lay consistently and rumored to lay up until their death, which is where the name came from). 
 
This order is for a mix of both pure Ayam Cemani and the fibro mixes listed above. For just Ayam Cemani, we offer half dozens in another listing (when available). 
 
For shipped eggs: 1 dozen minimum per order, 2 dozen maximum. Can combine two half-dozens from different pens/breeds to meet the minimum. 
For local pickup: half dozen minimum.   
Hatching eggs will ship within 1-2 weeks of order, on a Monday or Tuesday.
