Moss & Bramble Olive Eggers: Welsummer pen

A carefully curated and intentional mix of our Welsummer x Silverudd's Blue and multi-generational Olive Eggers, bred with two goals in mind: vigorous genetics and beautiful baskets. 
 
These birds are selected for rich olive egg color, deep earthy tones, and the speckles and blooms we love. Expect offspring that may lay shades ranging from mossy olive and sage green to deep olive and chocolate tones, often accompanied by speckles, freckles, and unique blooms. 
 
Our foundation stock includes Welsummers known for their dark, heavily speckled eggs and Silverudd's Blue valued for their naturally green tinted, also often heavily speckled eggs. Our entire flock of Silverudd's has tested homozygous for the blue egg gene (they all carry two copies). Combined with carefully selected multi-generational Olive Eggers, this breeding project focuses on creating hens that lay distinctive eggs while maintaining hardy, productive birds. 
 
Because these are hybrids bred for egg basket beauty, feather colors and patterns will vary, making each chick a unique surprise. 
 
You may receive eggs from:
Welsummer x Silverudd's Blue crosses (F1OE). All will lay a shade of green.
Multi-generational Olive Eggers, including BCOE (to brown, Welsummer). 50% chance of deep brown layers, 50% chance of olive/moss layers. 
Pure Welsummer is also a possibility from this group. 
 
Optional, please let me know if you would like a chance of frizzles included in this order (I do not automatically include them). Not a breed but a feather type, 50% chance of a frizzle hatching.

Please note: Egg color and speckling intensity can vary from bird to bird, and no specific egg shade can be guaranteed. 
 
For shipped eggs: 1 dozen minimum per order, 2 dozen maximum. Can combine two half-dozens from different pens/breeds to meet the minimum. 
For local pickup: half dozen minimum.   
Hatching eggs will ship within 1-2 weeks of order, on a Monday or Tuesday.
